Serbia today marks the Day of Reconciliation in the First World War, and on that occasion, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in the presence of Ana Brnabić and Predrag Kona, announced that decorations will be awarded to deserving individuals and institutions who stood out. during the fight against infectious diseases Kovid-19.
Doctors received the First Degree Star of the Order of Karadjordj Predrag Kon I Mijomir Pelemiswhile the Star of the Second Degree of the Order of Karadjordj went to the doctors Branimir Nestorović, Srdja jankovic, Branislav Tiodorović, Danica Grujicic I Goran stevanovic.
Vučić awarded the doctors the Star of the Third Degree of the Order of Karađorđe Ivana Milošević, Nebojsa Ladjevic, Marija Zdravković I Radmila Janković.

Gold medals were also awarded to institutions that have distinguished themselves in the fight against kovid-19, as well as people in their charge, such as Director of KBC Dragisa Misovic Vladimir Djukic or VMC Karaburma Ivo Udovicic.

Today, Vučić received the Order of Merit for Defense and Security police officer Nebojsa Apostolovic, seriously injured during the July protests in front of the Serbian Parliament in Belgrade.
Apostolovic, who is a member of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Belgrade Police Administration, was seriously injured during the July 8 protest.
The Ministry of the Interior announced that on the occasion of the Day of Reconciliation in the First World War, Apostolović was awarded for “exemplary and honorable performance of duties and tasks in the fields of defense and security”.
“It is a great honor for me to be decorated with this order, because it is one of the highest recognitions to the police profession,” Apostolović said, noting that this award obliges him to “fight even more energetically and forcefully” against crime.
Armistice Day in World War I is marked in memory of November 11, 1918, when Entente forces signed an armistice with Germany and thus ended World War I.
Kon: All those who fight against the epidemic fight to defend the homeland.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said today that the Karadjordj First Order Star decoration, which he received on the occasion of Reconciliation Day in World War I, represents for him “an honor and a great responsibility”, as well as dedicating it To his family.
Kon, who spoke on behalf of all those awarded for participating in the fight against the coronavirus virus epidemic, said that today only the names of the awardees were read and that the handover will be specially organized under better conditions.
Kon said that among the decorated were health workers and those who were not, but who helped in the fight against the epidemic, as well as that 12 doctors and a nurse who lost their lives in the fight against covid-19 were posthumously decorated.
“At a time when the pandemic is in full swing in our country, we must thank all those who defend the lives of our citizens. “All of them are in the fight for the defense of our homeland taking care of the sick,” Kon said.
He said that today is historically the Day of Reconciliation that ended the First World War, that symbolically this is not a day of celebration, but rather a time of parties and a time to reverse the situation in the fight against the coronavirus.

Decorated Nurses by Novi Pazar and Sjenica
Novi Pazar, Sjenica – On the occasion of the Day of Reconciliation in the First World War, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, honored Muamer Turković, a nurse from the Novi Pazar General Hospital, and posthumously to Slavica Gujanica, from the Sjenica Health Center. Both received gold medals of merit.
According to the statement, Turković was awarded for her exceptional merits and her contribution to the implementation of activities to prevent the spread of the contagious disease covid 19.
It was made known to the public, when the girl, who had a choking and coughing attack, turned on therapy in front of the Children’s Department building, which later housed patients infected with the corona virus.
Slavica Gujanica was posthumously recognized for “exceptional merits and acts of personal heroism in the treatment and protection of the population of the Republic of Serbia.” He died in mid-July from the effects of the corona virus.
