Today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić denied asking to speak at Metropolitan Amfilohije’s funeral in Podgorica on Sunday, adding that he was “not interested.”

In a press conference after a special session of the Government in the Palace of Serbia, Vučić said that he himself decided to go to Podgorica to pay tribute to “a great and charismatic man, with whom he did not always agree”, but with the one who maintained an incomparably better relationship. the last few months than before.

Vučić said that “a lot of people were upset” by the fact that he came to Montenegro, but that he believes he had a place there.

“And why do some people not understand that, who do not understand the importance of union?” That says more about them. My job is to be the president of all the citizens of Serbia and to help our people who do not live in Serbia… We do not interfere in everything else. “Form the governments you want, you will have a good partner in Serbia,” he said.
