Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said it was unnecessary for Serbian Progressive Party deputy Marko Atlagić to criticize actress Jelisaveta Seka Sablić.

Vučić told Serbian radio and television that Sablić’s interview for the weekly NIN was purely political and that he did not agree with any party, but that more than Atlagić said was unnecessary.

He apologized to “everyone who received nasty words” on his own behalf and on behalf of the Serbian Progressive Party.

The president mentioned that members of the opposition insulted many celebrities for their positive attitude towards the SNS, mentioning actors Lazar Ristovski, Predrag Miki Manojlović, Svetislav Bulet Goncić and Nenad Jezdić.

Speaking about the dialogue between the government and the opposition, Vučić said that one should ask the Speaker of the Assembly, Ivica Dačić, who announced the dialogue.

“I am not going to participate in that dialogue, fortunately for them (members of the opposition), they will not have to sit down with a traitor,” Vucic said.
