Serbia today marks the Day of Reconciliation in World War I, and on that occasion, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić presented decorations to deserving individuals and institutions who excelled during the fight against the infectious disease Kovid-19.

Doctors Predrag Kon and Mijomir Pelemis received the Star of the First Degree of the Order of Karadjordj, while the Star of the Second Degree of the Order of Karadjordj went to Dr. Branimir Nestorovic, Srdja Jankovic, Branislav Tiodorovic, Danica Grujicic and Goran Stevanovic .

Vučić awarded Dr. Ivana Milošević, Nebojsa Lađević, Marija Zdravković and Radmila Janković the Third Degree Order of the Star of Karađorđe.

The gold medal for merit was awarded to Jelesije Radivojević, Brigadier General, and Colonel Radivoje Andjelković, Commander of the “Belgrade Fair” and “Arena” temporary hospitals.

Ana Stojković, a cleaner, ie a hygienist at the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Serbian Clinical Center, and Branko Antić, a taxi driver from Belgrade, joined the Meritorious Society in the Fight against Kovid.

Gold medals were also awarded to institutions that excelled in the fight against kovid-19, as well as to the people at the forefront, such as KBC director Dragiša Mišović Vladimir Đukić or VMC Karaburma Ivo Udovičić.

Among the journalists, Pinka journalist Mladen Mijatović, RTS journalists Ana Stamenković and Ivana Božović, and their public service colleague Vladimir Zakonović, as well as Blic Milica Marković journalist received this recognition.

The Third Degree Order of Merit for Defense and Security was awarded to Dragan Koruga, and the Silver Medal of Valor to Borislav Krnjajić and Tom Zorzić.

Silver medals of merit were won by Srdjan Lazic, Petar Curcic, Milan Mladenovic, Milan Jovanovic, Negovan Ivankovic, Momcilo Maric, Miroslav Ljiljak, Goran Petrovic, Jovica Deljanin and Daliborka Radisic, while the Gold Medal for Jealous Service was awarded to Zoran Smiljkovic.

Posthumous recognition was awarded to 13 physicians, including Miodrag Lazić of KC Niš, who received the Order of the Star of Karađorđe of the first degree.

The Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bethel, and the painter Nikolai Mukhin, who painted the Temple of Saint Sava, are also on the list of winners.

Armistice Day in World War I is marked in memory of November 11, 1918, when Entente forces signed an armistice with Germany and thus ended World War I.
