– We have to respect each other, people in Serbia talk about Kosovo, but nobody knows for sure what is happening in Kacanik in Zrze, near Prizren and Cekovica, but when we talk about commitments, is it a commitment for Serbia to recognize Kosovo for Kosovo to recognize? us – asked President Aleksandar Vučić.
– We do not need that, we are already a recognized state, what we need is that they understand our position, the position of Belgrade, as well as our attention to the Serbs in Kosovo – said Vučić.
– We are not in an easy or simple situation and we would like to see a compromise between the two sides – said the President of Serbia.
He expressed his hope that the European Union will fight, together with both parties, to reach a compromise, because, he emphasizes, there is no alternative.
– Will it be easy, are we willing to compromise? You will always hear from Pristina that only Serbia should recognize Kosovo, that they will do the same and then everything will be resolved. However, it’s more complicated than that, ”Vucic pointed out.
He pointed out that we must change the atmosphere and implement everything that has been signed, starting with the 2014 Brussels Agreement, as well as change the general atmosphere.
Vučić pointed out that it is necessary to discuss economic ties.
He assessed that the two parties are also far from reconciliation, and that we must work on that, as well as stop looking at each other as opponents and enemies, but to find opportunities for cooperation.
– I am not optimistic, but we are committed to the process of finding a solution and we are ready to work hard on it – concluded Vučić.
Avdulah Hoti pointed out that there are problems, as some of them represent crimes that took place in Kosovo and refer to missing persons during the 1990s.
– We are working on a peaceful agreement, we must not limit the agreement to what Serbia has won or lost or what Kosovo has won or lost. We have to accept the reality and the problem of the past in order to move forward – said Avdulah Hoti.
