The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Berislav Vekić, said tonight that the situation in Serbia regarding the corona virus is extremely difficult and pointed out that Vojvodina, after Belgrade, is the most threatened area.

“After Belgrade, the most threatened area is Vojvodina. There are still several places in Sremska Mitrovica, towards Senta and Sombor. Then Kragujevac and Nis follow. In general, the situation is extremely difficult and serious,” Vekic told TV Pink.

After visiting kovid’s temporary hospital in the Arena, he said that the Arena was full, like all other hospitals in Belgrade.

Vekić noted that doctors are required to visit twice a day to free up as many places in the hospital as possible so that new patients can be admitted.

“The operational team of the Ministry of Health is in constant communication with the directors and duty officers in the health institutions. We are now distributing patients from Belgrade by ambulance to the Merkur Hospital in Vrnjacka Banja and to the admission hospitals in Nis and Sokobanja. Vekic said.
