Vesna Vojvodić, vice president of the Serbian Secondary Union of Teachers “Nezavisnost”, considered that the police interrogation of more than 300 principals of primary and secondary schools in Belgrade was absurd and pointless because it conditioned students and employees to wear protective masks.
Vojvodić is in published author text in the portal of the “Independencia” Union He noted that the decision of the Third Basic Prosecutor’s Office to order the police to enter into talks with the principals of the Belgrade schools, following the criminal complaint of the President of the Police Employees Union, Dejan Đukić, is also absurd.
According to Vojvodić, the principals of all primary and secondary schools in Belgrade are charged with “allegedly illegally forcing children to wear protective masks, which endangers the health and lives of employees and students.”
Vojvodić also pointed out that, by order of the prosecution, some directors of secondary schools had already been questioned at the Zemun police station.
He assessed that in this case it is the “intense feeling of powerlessness, futility and nonsense” of the effort to preserve the autonomy of education “from the absurdity that overwhelms us almost every day.”
Vesna Vojvodić noted that this is the latest in a series of cases that “paradigmatically represent the unbalanced attitude of the state apparatus towards the educational system.”
