Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed to RIA Novosti that President Vladimir Putin apologized to President Alexander Vučić for the inappropriate Facebook post of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zaharova.

According to RIA Novosti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said in the Serbian public service that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov apologized for Zakharova’s announcement of the Serbian delegation’s visit to Washington.

Peskov confirmed it for RIA Novosti.

Vučić said he had an “excellent telephone conversation” with his Russian colleague.

Today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić relayed that Russian President Vladimir Putin, in addition to Lavrov, apologized for Maria Zaharova’s inappropriate post on Facebook and told him that the Russian state was not behind him, let alone him personally.

“Putin as well as Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov never apologized to me for anything, and they both did for something like this, without my mentioning it,” Vucic told RTS.
