Vladimir Jovanović (52), better known as Vlada Japanac, was transferred yesterday to the district prison on Bačvanska street to serve a four-year sentence, Kurir found out!

As our source reveals, Jovanović, meanwhile, got married and took his wife’s last name “to cover his tracks.”

– He remained outside the borders of Serbia for some time, allegedly out of fear for his own safety. After the arrest, he was taken to the police, who confirmed his identity, and then transferred to the Bačvanska Street Prison, adds a source in Kurir.

Let us remind you, Jovanović was arrested yesterday according to the warrant issued against him because he did not respond to calls to report himself. According to unofficial information, he tried to escape during the arrest, but was quickly overpowered and detained.

The former member of the Zemun clan has been known to the police for a long time. He has been arrested in the past for various crimes, including extortion, threats, kidnapping, and causing general danger.

It should be recalled that the Court of Appeals sentenced Vladimir Jovanović to 34 months in prison in 2017 for extortion of 710 euros and 4,000 dinars from a worker in a cafe.

– He was also sentenced to one year and three months for obstructing an official in the performance of his duties. His detention was included in the part of the sentence for extortion, so he has a total of four more years to serve – explains Kurir’s interlocutor.
