Viktorija Rumenović (61) from Nova Pazova, was sentenced at the Sremska Mitrovica High Court to nine years in prison for the first instance verdict, because during the trial it was determined that she killed her partner Slobodan Lukić (57).
According to the indictment, she killed him by stabbing him in the chest with a knife, on March 16 last year at the house on Svetozara Markovića street in Nova Pazova, where the couple lived.
She denied in court the act of which she is accused. She claimed that Slobodan sent her to the store to buy brandy, and when she returned, because she forgot her wallet, she found Slobodan with a stab in the chest.
Forensic experts, however, determined that his DNA was found on the knife with which the murder was committed.
