As a guest on Prva TV, he said that ten days ago, Belgrade had around 50 percent of the total number of infected people in Serbia, and that today that percentage is around 25 percent, with a trend to continue to decline.

– The inspection and the communal militia are constantly on the ground, visiting catering facilities, shopping centers and public transport. I can say that a large percentage of the citizens of Belgrade adhere to the prescribed measures – said Vesić.

According to him, the new restrictive measures affect the economy, highlighting that only in the service sector in Belgrade, around 40,000 people work, whose jobs are currently in danger.

As he said, he hopes that the new measures will give the necessary results and that they will last as short as possible, and that the essence is to find a measure between the economy and the protection of the health of the population.

Vesić also noted that the city decided to reduce the rent for its business premises by 50% in December and January.

– This measure will cost the City Council about 350,000 euros, with the aim that employers pay the salaries of their employees. We call on private landlords, as well as businesses, to apply the same measure to help tenants survive these difficult days, Vesić said.

Speaking about the new kovid hospital in Batajnica, Vesić said that he would help get rid of the hospital in Belgrade.

In the end, he recalled that no construction site in Belgrade was stopped during the pandemic, with the protection of employees, and announced that the complete Sava Square will be completed in January.
