The city of Belgrade supports the Serbian Chamber of Commerce’s proposal to find a way for business facilities to run on weekends, said Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić. He added that the same applies to catering facilities, but also to the entire industry “which depends on retail and is in a difficult situation.”
“We will appeal to crisis staff members to find a way to extend the working hours of the retail and catering facilities on weekends, at least as well as on weekdays. We have an understanding to preserve public health, but we must, as always, find a measure between preserving public health “If the economy does not work, there will be no money to protect public health,” Vesić told Studio B.
He added that the light is visible at the end of the tunnel, “very soon we will have vaccines and we will return to normal life, so it is important to preserve economic activity in the coming months as well as human health.”

The situation regarding kovid in the capital is better than before, Vesić assessed and today announced a meeting with representatives of the Red Cross to also help people waiting in front of kovid’s ambulance.
“The idea is to install extra heaters in the tents, hire people to serve free coffee and tea, provide blankets and the like, all to make it easier to wait for the exams,” Vesić said.
