Janko Veselinović, president of the United Opposition of Serbia, told Danas that the meeting was scheduled without an agenda, that everything was done against the previous agreement, but also that Zoran Živković, the leader of Nova, violated the non-aggression agreement with your tweet.

The organizer of the second meeting, Aris Movsesian, the New Party presidential candidate, however, claims that it is time for the opposition to stop dealing with tweets and comments on tweets.

In addition to the UOS, the representatives of all the other parties or movements that attended the first meeting will respond to the invitation of the New Party.

Among those who confirmed the arrival were Milos Jovanovic of the DSS, Let’s Not Drown Belgrade, Pavle Grbovic of the Free Citizens’ Movement, Boris Tadic’s own SDS, as well as representatives of the Heart of the Citizens group from the municipality of Stari Grad.

“We cannot attend this meeting, which is scheduled without an agreement on the subject of the meeting and the time of the meeting. We are all surprised because everything was done against what was agreed in the last meeting. That is the position of the Movement for Change, but also for the entire United Opposition. If we want cooperation, we must respect each other. Apart from the fact that the host of the meeting, that is, the chairman of the party who invited the meeting, Zoran Zivkovic, violated the basic non-aggression agreement. “But he not only attacked us politicians, but in the most rude way, all the citizens of Serbia, with the attitude that the word ‘crazy’ is now a substitute for a boycott”, Veselinović said to Danas.

He adds that it is inadmissible and without a fence of such an attitude, any communication with that party is difficult. When asked if that is just his position, Veselinović replied that it is the position of the entire Serbian United Opposition.

Commenting on the position of the Serbian United Opposition, Aris Movsesian told Danas that the only thing that is certain is that the time of the meeting has not been agreed, but that he sees no reason to wait and slow down the talks, especially when talks with representatives of the European Parliament are known to be imminent. and the first topic of tomorrow’s meeting.

“Every day is very important for the opposition because of that.” Furthermore, Veselinović’s claims that nothing was agreed at the first meeting are not true. One of the points on the agenda of the second meeting held at the facilities of the New Party are the conversations at the electoral, municipal, provincial and parliamentary levels, which were proposed at the last meeting as a point on the agenda of the Initiative Let’s not drown in Belgrade. There is also a point of several, so the representatives of some parties and movements in that part of the meeting could open the issue of the breach of the agreement, how to improve the talks and attract some other opposition parties. “After all, the invitation itself says that any comments and additions to the agenda are welcome,” explains Movsesian.

When asked how he comments on the UOS position that Zoran Zivkovic, the current leader of the New Party, violated the non-aggression agreement, the Danas interlocutor said it was time for the opposition to stop tweeting and tweeting comments and build your positions on something. heard on the street or in the market and that this should be the basis for your policy making.

He reiterates that the plan is for tomorrow’s meeting to be running, behind closed doors and without the presence of journalists.

When we asked Sergej Trifunovic, current president of the Free Citizens Movement, if he would attend the meeting, his first reaction, since he was not in the country, was – “what a meeting, it was agreed that the meeting would be organized after two assemblies – PSG and New customers. “

Movsesian, however, says the Free Citizens Movement confirmed the arrival, and Trifunović was probably not present.

He also says that he does not see a reason why, at the time of the crown, by working according to the changed rules, one would wait for the electoral assemblies to pass, because a new ban on meetings could occur.

Pavle Grbović, Trifunović’s candidate for successor, also confirmed to us that the Free Citizens Movement will attend the opposition meeting.

“I will respond to the invitation for an interview because I believe that there is no adequate explanation why such invitations should be rejected.” I believe that the topics are well chosen and that they provide the opportunity to give content and meaning to these talks and finally deliver what that awaits us, and not address issues that are left behind and that only divide us, “Grbovic said in a statement to Danas, confirming that Trifunović is out of the country.

Later, Sergej Trifunović himself confirmed to us that Grbović was going to an opposition meeting.

Milos Jovanovic, the leader of the DSS, confirmed to us that he would attend the opposition meeting, but that due to his daily duties at the faculty, he did not delve much into the topics of the meeting. He says it’s important to speak up, and Radomir Lazović of the Let’s Not Drown Belgrade Initiative says in a statement to Danas that at tomorrow’s meeting he will reiterate the position, which they have held in the past, that opposition organizations should go to the polls. with its natural ideological or programmatic partners. .

Therefore, he says, unprincipled associations, which are characteristics of acting in a column, would be avoided and citizens would be offered to vote for those options they consider the best.

What will be required of the MEP

As for the negotiations announced with MEPs, we will ask that the separation of different electoral levels be determined as one of the demands to improve electoral conditions, so that presidential, parliamentary and local elections cannot be held together due to the great misuse of public resources and bureaucratic campaigns. that Aleksandar Vučić is the only candidate for both local community president and state president. This approach, with coordination and cooperation on specific issues such as electoral control, the fight for freedom of communication, as well as the fight against violence, can lead to a large number of citizens deciding not only to go to the polls, but also take a direct role. in campaign or electoral control. For us, Belgrade has shown the greatest potential for a change of government, and it may turn into a lump that triggers an avalanche and the liberation of all of Serbia from the progressive criminal government, “says Radomir Lazović of the NDB.
