The second opposition meeting, called by Boris Tadic, leader of the Social Democratic Party, will be held on Thursday at the premises of the New Party, behind closed doors, but without the presence of representatives of the United Opposition of Serbia.

In addition to the UOS, the representatives of all the other parties or movements that attended the first meeting will respond to the invitation of the New Party.
Among those who confirmed the arrival were Milos Jovanovic of the DSS, Let’s Not Drown Belgrade, Pavle Grbovic of the Free Citizens’ Movement, Boris Tadic’s own SDS, as well as representatives of the Heart of the Citizens group from the municipality of Stari Grad.
“We cannot attend this meeting, which is scheduled without an agreement on the subject of the meeting and the time of the meeting. We are all surprised because everything was done against what was agreed in the last meeting. That is the position of the Movement for Change, but also for the entire United Opposition. If we want cooperation, we must respect each other. Apart from the fact that the host of the meeting, that is, the chairman of the party who invited the meeting, Zoran Zivkovic, violated the basic non-aggression agreement. “But he not only attacked us politicians, but in the most rude way, all the citizens of Serbia, with the attitude that the word ‘crazy’ is now a substitute for a boycott”, Veselinović said to Danas.
He adds that it is inadmissible and without a fence of such an attitude, any communication with that party is difficult. When asked if that is just his position, Veselinović replied that it is the position of the entire Serbian United Opposition.
Commenting on the position of the Serbian United Opposition, Aris Movsesian told Danas that the only thing that is certain is that the time of the meeting has not been agreed, but that he sees no reason to wait and slow down the talks, especially when talks with representatives of the European Parliament are known to be imminent. and the first topic of tomorrow’s meeting.
“Every day is very important for the opposition because of that.” Furthermore, Veselinović’s claims that nothing was agreed at the first meeting are not true. Movsesian, however, says the Free Citizens Movement confirmed the arrival, and Trifunović was probably not present.
He also says that he does not see a reason why, at the time of the crown, by working according to the changed rules, one would wait for the electoral assemblies to pass, because a new ban on meetings could occur.
Pavle Grbović, Trifunović’s candidate for successor, also confirmed to us that the Free Citizens Movement will attend the opposition meeting.

Later, Sergej Trifunović himself confirmed to us that Grbović was going to an opposition meeting.
Milos Jovanovic, the leader of the DSS, confirmed to us that he would attend the opposition meeting, but that due to his daily duties at the faculty, he did not delve much into the topics of the meeting. He says it’s important to speak up, and Radomir Lazović of the Let’s Not Drown Belgrade Initiative says in a statement to Danas that at tomorrow’s meeting he will reiterate the position, which they have held in the past, that opposition organizations should go to the polls. with its natural ideological or programmatic partners. .
Therefore, he says, unprincipled associations, which are characteristics of acting in a column, would be avoided and citizens would be offered to vote for those options they consider the best.
