In September this year, the Pristina newspaper “Koha Ditore” wrote that the Serbian state “rebuilt or restored its ancient medieval monuments in Kosovo and Metohija on the foundations of ancient monuments from the Roman and Byzantine period”, stating that the medieval monasteries of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and Metohija “ancient both for the indigenous Arbre (Albanians) and for the Serbs who occupied (so-called) Kosovo.”
According to them, these are Serbian churches and monasteries from Decani, Gracanica, the Church of Saints Michael and Gabriel, through the Mother of God Ljeviska in Prizren and the Church of Saint Stephen in Mitrovica, to the Patriarchate of Pec.
