A thief who stole an ambulance from the Emergency Service parking lot in Kraljevo the night before was arrested in Kraljevo today. It is about a 20-year-old who was taken into police custody.
According to our information, the young man admitted that he stole the ambulance, but not that he set it on fire.
To our knowledge, he told police that he was drunk, that he allegedly did not know what he was doing. He admitted to driving an ambulance, but denied everything else. He said he left it and left. And he doesn’t know who took him to the city dump and then set it on fire.
Most likely, the thief used the negligence of the driver who left the keys in the vehicle. The robbery occurred on the night of Thursday through Friday, approximately two hours after midnight, and the robbers made their way to the city dump with a stolen ambulance, where they set the vehicle on fire. There, next to the fence of the landfill, a “Peugeot boxer” was completely burned on Friday morning and was found.
“Although this ambulance is of an older generation, it was more than valuable to our Emergency Service, so it is definitely a loss for us. Of course, patients will not feel it because we continue to work at full speed, as before,” he said Mirjana. Krčevinac, director of the Kraljevo Health Center.
