Until the case has a definitive epilogue, the dilemma will not be resolved, but the story went to one side “I can”, because, as they say, an extradition request came from America.

– The United States application was received in court on Friday September 18, 2020. year before the end of business hours and the same day is for Monday 09/21/2020. year at 12 hours scheduled hearing of all people – they say in Superior Court.

However, the hearing was postponed at the request of the defense, adding that the arrest of the detainees was ordered.

– The hearing was not held because the defense lawyers of the accused requested to know the request as well as an additional period to prepare a statement on it – they say in Court.

Nis’s lawyer, Milos Petrovic, who represents two of the 11 defendants, says all the lawyers asked for a stay.

– As we did not have enough time to inspect the case and argue the request, the defendants themselves received the request at 11 am on Monday and a hearing was scheduled for 12 noon, so all the defense attorneys presented a motion to reschedule and it was postponed. for next week – says Petrovic.

Let us remind you that a group of young people, including citizens of Montenegro, the Philippines and Austria, all residing in Nis, were arrested at the end of July.

They are accused of the crime of fraud, which earned them 70 million dollars through the Internet. A Texas citizen was among those duped, so the American judiciary and the FBI intervened throughout the case, assisting in the arrest operation.

The detainees are now threatened with extradition to the United States, where the entire process would take place, and according to the lawyers, their human rights would be in danger in America, and that is why the request is that they be tried in Serbia.
