Today, there was a dramatic increase in the number of infected people, which is higher by almost 100 infected people compared to yesterday. What’s even more concerning is the number of hospitalized: up to 80 of them ended up in the hospital in one day, which is the highest number since September 2.
Until yesterday, the total number of hospitalized corona patients was 329, so today, with 80 new ones, it is 409.
Today, according to the latest cross-section, we have 245 new infections in one day, and we had such dramatic numbers on August 13, when there were 247 of them, in the second peak of the coronavirus epidemic.
Remember, yesterday we had 152 new infections in 24 hours, which was also a drastic increase compared to the day before when we had 67 new cases of infection.
With these numbers, Serbia is evidently hurtling towards the peak of the third wave of the coronavirus epidemic, and Dr. Branislav Tiodorović’s forecast that the danger of us having 500 new infections a day is also concerning.
– The third wave of the crown is largely underway and if we do not see reason and respect the anti-epidemic measures, in two weeks we will have more than 500 patients a day, and when we exceed that number, we may decide not to teach in schools and colleges. , the classes will be exclusively online, from home – said Dr. Todorović two days ago.
