Todorovic said that it started to rain in northwestern and western Serbia this morning, and in the middle of the day in the entire Vojvodina area, west, southwest and part of central Serbia, as well as in some parts of Belgrade. As you said, in the afternoon and evening, the precipitation will spread to other parts and bring a drop in temperature. It is expected, he says, that the rainfall will intensify in the afternoon and at night, and that during today, the greatest amount of rain will fall in the western and southwestern parts, and tomorrow in the eastern and southeastern parts.

– These would be quantities between 20 and 40 liters per square meter – Todorović explained and added that this shouldn’t cause problems because the rain will fall continuously for almost a day and a half.

– This is also confirmed by hydrologist colleagues who gave only a note that in smaller watercourses, that is, streams in the upper part of the West Morava, Ibar and Lima basins, there could be a short-term exit, without serious consequences – said Todorović. He stated that this cooling in the highest mountain areas, above 1,500 meters, could lead to short-term snowfalls, but that there should be no serious retentions because, as he himself says, the temperature will rise on Wednesday, with a maximum value of 20 degrees. Celsius. It will be similar on Thursday and Friday when, he says, it will continue to rain a little, but of much less intensity and quantity compared to today and tomorrow.

Hydrologist Dejan Vladiković says that precipitation will increase overnight and that smaller torrents are expected to rise, emphasizing that their status is being monitored.
