Tonight, the president of the Association of Serbian Journalists, Vladimir Radomirovic, rejected as incorrect the claims that the association was a regime and said that UNS would provide support, protection and assistance to journalists owned by United Group, H1, Nova S and the Nova portal. great pressure from the owner.
Radomirović, as a guest on Pink TV’s Hit-tweet program, spoke extensively about the Zurich court verdict case on United Group owner Dragan Šolak’s lawsuit against Pink TV, Informer and Studio B, which according to the media of Šolak was presented in his favor.
However, Radomirovic said, no one saw that verdict and until it is published no one will be able to know what it is.
He added that it was not known whether the defendants knew they were defendants.
The UNS, he says, tried by all means to reach that verdict, first from the United Group and H1, then from the Zurich court, as well as information on the matter from the Ministry of Justice, but without success.
He specified that the Zurich court first promised the UNS that it would deliver the verdict, and after seven days they were told that they could not do so, because the documents contained personal data.
After publishing the information about the alleged Zurich court verdict, Radomirović notes that the “attack” by the United Group media on UNS was initiated.
The UNS called on journalists from the United Group media to respect the journalistic code, especially after the information about the alleged verdict in Zurich was changed, so instead of the H1 story, that information was presented as a statement from United Group.
You noticed that this is exactly the code violation: when you correct something in the news, and don’t say what or when.
He pointed out that this is a clear example of violation of the journalistic code, not only, as he says, that the original story was corrected, but also the way the interviews with Smajlović and him were edited.
After all that, Radomirovic points out, it is clear that journalists in this case are putting themselves in the role of the owner of the outlet, and not the public, which, as he said, is a “drastic violation of the code.”
Radomirovic says that it seems to him that this is the only case of journalists attacking the UNS, which asks them to respect the code and basic rules.
He is convinced that United Group media journalists are under pressure from the owners, which is why, he says, journalist Jelena Obućina left UNS following the tweet from its director, Slobodan Georgijev, announcing the journalists’ resignation from membership. of that association.
All of this, Radomirovic points out, leads to the conclusion that journalists from these outlets are under pressure from the owners.
Dacic recalled that at the time he was in coalition with the DS, Tadic and Dinkic drafted amendments to the Information Law at that time with the aim of introducing restrictive measures, for which they asked him to consult him, but he refused to participate. in her.
He claims that neither he nor Aleksandar Vučić participated in the passing of that law, because the law, he says, was agreed to at a higher level.
But, he says, Ceda Jovanovic stepped in and that law was passed thanks to him.
Radomirovic said that the United Group media had presented a large number of falsehoods in recent days, adding that he did not know why they were doing that, but that he knew many colleagues who work in those media.
He is, he is sure, under great pressure and he invited them to contact the UNS, which, as he pointed out, will provide all the support.
