The Serbian Progressive Party Sabac Municipal Board strongly condemns the incident at the Bela Reka polling station, said Serbian Progressive Party commissioner for Sabac and future mayor Aleksandar Pajic, adding that violent behavior in any of the 27 polling stations is inadmissible.
“We demand that the competent authorities react immediately, file charges and bring those responsible to justice,” Pajic said in a statement sent to the media by the SNS information service.
He emphasized the absolute commitment of the Serbian Progressive Party to a dignified, peaceful and democratic electoral process.
“The Serbian Progressive Party believes that those who cause incidents in polling stations have bad intentions and do not want the electoral process to be good,” said Pajic, and once again called on the authorities to react, emphasizing the commitment of the SNS with elections in accordance with the law and all democratic standards. violence and incidents during repeat elections in 27 polling stations.
In the village of Bela Reka near Sabac, a member of the Mesa Committee was attacked on behalf of the “Sabac is ours” list, and the information was confirmed to the media by the leader of that electoral list, Nebojsa Zelenovic.
As he said, in a visibly drunk state, they attacked a member of the polling station and threatened him after they were not allowed to vote because they did not have an identity card.
Voting was interrupted there, but continued after the two thugs left.
