“We are defending it by all means, as I said, and mentally, I guess we are not going to differ from the generations of our ancestors. How do you think Montenegro defended itself through previous centuries, where Montenegro achieved ten centuries of statehood? “So it was not defended in parliament, rather than a weapon, in the mind,” Djukanovi told Sarajevo’s Facebook television.

ukanovi said that in defending Montenegro, they would do what others would do “if someone came to bring down the roof over their heads against their will.”

He affirmed that the political reality of today “does not differ much” from that of the early 90s of the last century, and valued that “politically blind” are those who do not see “the restoration of nationalist politics” of that time.

“I remind you, I said then, and then the idea of protecting the interests of the Serbian people in danger of extinction in other countries began. Protecting the Serbian people supposedly in danger in Montenegro meant destroying the sovereignty of the Montenegrin state and an uninterrupted interference in their life internal politics, “he said. ukanovi.

He added that Montenegro “can take that blow.”

“Of course, we will continue to be his firm defense, now from the position of the strongest opposition party in the Montenegrin parliament. When it comes to power, we respect democratic rules. Power is chosen in free elections. Citizens freely wanted this. power and they have it. ” said the Montenegrin leader for a long time.

He said he was pleased that the new parliamentary majority in Montenegro had confirmed that it would not change the country’s foreign policy, that it would not try to remove it from NATO and that it would continue on its way to the EU.

“Some will say that they couldn’t even make most of those decisions, but it was important to listen to them. I am very satisfied with what I have heard. We strongly advocate a more intensive move towards a European value system,” Ukanov said.

In the parliamentary elections on August 30 in Montenegro, the Ukanov Democratic Party of Socialists, ruled for the past 30 years, received the most votes, but three opposition coalitions together obtained the majority, 41 out of 81. Leaders of all three coalitions are negotiating a new government.
