Nislija DI (48) and a girl whose identity is not yet known died tonight when they were hit by an “Audi” with Belgrade license plates while walking on the sidewalk at around 8.40 pm on Mediana Boulevard in Nis.
The girl died on the spot, while the seriously injured DI was treated by the ambulance, but died at the Nis Clinical Center.
According to unofficial information, the ambulance took over another pedestrian who was there. He is not physically injured, but he was hit hard by what he saw.
Eyewitnesses to the accident say the vehicle was moving at high speed from the “Stop Shop” direction toward DIS, when the driver lost control and swerved the vehicle from the road onto the curb.
According to eyewitnesses, due to the force of the impact, the girl flew over the fence of the water supply system, which is several meters from the sidewalk.
The Nis Police Administration confirmed to the Beta agency that the investigation is ongoing.
“The Basic Public Ministry was informed of the accident.” “A 20-year-old man was behind the wheel of a car with Belgrade plates,” police said.
