Two Serbian citizens were arrested today in Pljevlja for cigarette smuggling.

The Montenegrin Ministry of the Interior claims that officers from the Pljevlja Border Police Station at the Metaljka border crossing, at the exit from Montenegro, controlled a vehicle driven by NS (43) from Kragujevac, while MR (63) from Belgrade, both citizens of the Republic of Serbia, were in the vehicle.

The statement specifies that they were arrested and the vehicle was handed over to the police officers of the Pljevlja Security Center, who, by order of the competent court, searched the vehicle where they found 498 boxes of cigarettes of various brands without excise stamps.

The competent prosecutor classified the crime as smuggling and, according to his order, NS and MR were arrested.
