According to the verdict, on July 12, 2019, with a reduced, but not significantly reduced, ability to handle his actions, he stabbed his wife, whom he had abused for years, several times with a kitchen knife at the bus station. of Pancevo.

That day, although he had a judicial prohibition to approach and communicate with his wife, he began to follow Desanka as soon as he left the Safe House in Pancevo, where he was at personal request on June 21 due to years of physical and psychological violence. by her husband. Previously, on June 26, 2019, the Pancevo Court of First Instance extended the urgent measure of temporary prohibition of communication and approach to the victim until July 27, 2019.

The explanation of the decision, which was published on the website of the Court of Appeals, states that the fact that Mošić has not been previously convicted of constant, persistent and systematic abuse of his wife, does not mean that he respected public order and the law, but instead violated it, but remained unpunished, the court noted, noting that his previous conviction could not be considered as a mitigating circumstance.

The age and illness of the accused are not extenuating circumstances either, because they are in no way related to the crime he committed. From the aggravating circumstances, the court took into account that he committed the murder in a public place at noon, which, as the court points out, indicates his unscrupulousness.

He also killed his wife in front of a minor, indicating the defendant’s cruelty. Nine stabs in court indicate his brutality and, as the court reminds him, he did not express remorse even after committing the crime.
