Members of the Ministry of the Interior, the Directorate of Criminal Police, seized about 220 kilograms of marijuana and arrested Ž. V. (72) from the vicinity of Nis due to the existence of grounds to suspect that he committed the crime of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.
The police searched Ž’s family home. V. found 185 packages of marijuana, which, as suspected, was destined to be sold more in the territory of Nis.
Two pistols with silencers were seized, as well as 850 packs of cigarettes, for which the suspect will be charged with the existence of grounds to suspect that he committed criminal acts of illicit production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives and illicit trade.
The suspect was detained for up to 48 hours and will be taken to the Nis Superior Prosecutor’s Office, along with a criminal report.
Praising the work of members of the police, Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that there is no greater evil than drugs.
“Every drug trafficker is the murderer of our children and that is how we should think of them. The members of the UCP achieved another victory in the war on drugs and it is a war that will not stop being fought. Serbia will never be a safe place for drug traffickers. and drug traffickers, that is why we are here ”, said Minister Vulin.
