Traffic was suspended on the Ibar highway, near the town of Meljak, due to a traffic accident, the public company “Roads of Serbia” announced.
Bubanj potok toll ramp Photo: Roads of SerbiaVecernje novosti reports that the accident occurred when the rear of the articulated bus swerved and blocked in both directions, and that a woman was injured in the accident.
She was taken to the Emergency Center, Novosti added.
The Roads of Serbia announced that the alternative road route currently passes through Baćevac and Lipovica.
“We ask traffic participants to adjust their speed to road conditions,” the statement added.
PE “Roads of Serbia” adds that vehicles wait at the Obrenovac toll ramp for 20 minutes and that there are no delays at other toll stations along Serbian roads.
