The Independent Union of Early Childhood Education and the Union of the Independence Branch warned the Serbian Government and Crisis Personnel of a “drastic increase in the number of infected” among employees in this activity and requested that measures be taken to protect them.

The unions said in a joint statement that the number of infected people among preschool employees was growing dramatically, with five in September, 67 in October and 341 in November.

“We ask the Crisis Personnel and the Government to adopt a series of measures, the first of which will be the introduction of binding certificates for parents who have to work for employers,” the statement said, noting that the number of children coming to kindergarten. “avoid compliance with the recommended measures.”

“In the absence of educational personnel (for whom there is no adequate replacement), the basic principles of work organization are the mixing or merging of educational groups”, so it is “impossible to make a distance” prescribed by the measures says the statement.

“Employees did not receive an adequate amount of protective masks. Mainly cloth masks are used, which do not have information on maintenance and disinfection,” the statement said.

“I am happy with the fact that the children are less sick, which is not the case for the employees, so we fear that there will be no one to work with the children,” the unions said.
