A man MR (32) from Požarevac, was arrested by order of the Superior Prosecutor’s Office, on suspicion of having committed a crime: rape on Sunday night.
The suspect allegedly raped a 22-year-old ex-girlfriend in her apartment, with whom he was in a relationship until a month ago, “Novosti” writes.
The two met that night at a party in town, and then headed to her apartment, where the alleged rape took place. After the assault, the girl took advantage of the opportunity and called her mother, to whom she told what had just happened. The mother soon arrived at the suspect’s apartment and found her daughter bruised, after which they both went to the police and filed a rape complaint against her.
The suspect was soon arrested and, with a criminal report, will be brought before the superior prosecutor. After their interrogation and after the arrival of the reports of the medical examinations of the abused girl, the Prosecutor’s Office will decide on the classification of the act committed and the possible initiation of the investigation.
