Prime Minister Ana Brnabić affirmed that today she would have a meeting with the medical part of the Crisis Staff and pointed out that the measures against the corona virus will have to be reinforced.
“We will certainly have to toughen the measures, but we will see what can be done and what is the smartest thing we can do,” Brnabić said in the village of Junkovac in Lazarevac, responding to questions from journalists about whether the measures would be toughened.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the medical part of the Crisis General Staff insists on hardening the measures.
He said that he understands healthcare workers, but also needs to think about what will bring additional restrictions in terms of additional violations of measures that cannot be controlled.
“We are trying to find a balance and I think we are achieving it, because in general we still have quite good indicators, both economic and health,” said the prime minister.
On the EU announcement on the introduction of covid passports
Commenting on the European Union’s announcement about the introduction of covid passports with EU-approved vaccines, the Prime Minister said that it went against all basic European values and should not be treated as a geopolitical issue.
Brnabic said he believes that people in Brussels and all relevant health agencies are aware of the fact that both Chinese and Russian vaccines are effective and safe.
He stated that he does not believe that such a decision is made as an official EU decision.
But even if it passes, he claimed that citizens who have been vaccinated with the Sinofarm and Sputnik Ve vaccine will surely be able to travel because, he added, the state will do everything necessary to ensure that antibody tests and p-si-ar tests are carried out. completed in record time so they could travel.
