The first pilot test of the matura state, which is scheduled to be introduced in 2022 and to replace the college entrance exams, begins today with the test in Serbian.
Approximately 5,000 third-grade students from 101 high schools are participating in the pilot, namely 50 high schools, 30 vocational high schools, three art schools, and 10 three-year high schools.
The test in Serbian starts at 9.00 a.m. and will last until 10.30 a.m., while high school students will solve math problems tomorrow, and on Friday in high schools they will test their knowledge in general education subjects, while in high schools Vocational students will check your knowledge in vocational subjects.
At each school, testing will be done by students from two classes, and assignments will include freshman and sophomore material.
The objective of the piloting is to check the quality of the tasks and part of the procedures carried out in the school, to detect and eliminate possible omissions in time.
The second pilot test of the state matura is scheduled for the end of May next year, and then all schools will be included and all the procedures that should be identical to mine will be tested and will be carried out in the same matura.
As part of state maturation from 2022, high school graduates will take the general matura, vocational high schools – vocational matura, art schools – art matura, while three-year school students will finally take the final exam.
