Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that today is the most difficult day for Serbia when it comes to the number of dead and newly infected crowns with the virus.
– Today is officially the most difficult day for Serbia in terms of the corona virus pandemic, and in terms of the number of deaths and infections, and with all that when you look at proportionally, in terms of population, we are still in the top five countries Europeans – said Vucic.
Vučić said that during his speech on the occasion of the commemoration of the Day of Reconciliation in the First World War, where he presents decorations to the people and institutions who deserve it in the fight against kovida 19, as well as other personalities.
The President decorated the doctors who led and lead the fight against the crown and highlighted:
– I know how easy or simple it was for you. You knew you worked in a country where few people respect your work. Where when you say we’ll close something, everyone grunts and says “don’t open”, when you say we’ll open, everyone will jump on your spine and say “no no, we should close.” Few want to respect those who know better and more. I am happy that we also had people who thought differently at the headquarters and that we could always talk about the fact that you made the best decisions for our people – he said and added.
– I thank you for believing in our health, for believing in the state and for not looking for a reason to attack the state, because that is easier. Because conservatives conspiracies and criticism, whenever it is difficult, always pass the easiest. You were on the line of defense and you protected the people. It wasn’t just your professional job, you were able to survive the worst possible insults and I am infinitely grateful to you for accepting that.
Yesterday when it comes to the corona virus, it was very difficult in Serbia and new black records were set. Over 24 hours, 13,091 people were tested for the corona virus across Serbia, of which 2,823 were positive, the most so far. Unfortunately, up to 14 people died in one day.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and the “Trampoline” Institute, there are 126 patients on ventilators in hospitals throughout Serbia.
