Today is a difficult day, especially in terms of the death toll, but we must fight and continue to build our health system, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today at the tank exhibition at the Niš barracks.
He added that yesterday a contract was signed for the reconstruction of the piece and construction in KCV.
– All phases at KC in Belgrade will cost 147 million euros. People come to Nis because there is no place because there is a terrible problem in Belgrade. Our country should allow people to be treated in other cities if there is no place for them. Today is a difficult day in terms of death toll, but we have to fight and build a health system – said Vučić.
He added that there are many more people in Serbia who want to fight, compared to those who are walking away from everything to protect and preserve themselves.
– We have a lot of heroes who oppose the disease and seek to help our patients – said Vučić.
According to him, all the hospitals in Belgrade have been renovated.
– We started with the renovation of the Infectious Diseases Clinic 10 days before the crown arrived in Serbia. The progress in the health field is incredible. In three days we will open a hospital in Batajnica, in 17-18 days in Kruševac. This will strengthen our capabilities. When the number of infected people stops, we will know how many people we will have to admit to the hospital every day, and then it will be easier for us – said Vučić.
We remind you that today, the epidemiologist and crisis staff member Branislav Tidorović said that next week will be very difficult and there will be a slight calm at the end of the week. It points out that the flattening of the curve cannot be expected before mid-December.
Dr. Tiodorović pointed out that the epidemiological situation in Serbia is very serious, extraordinary and in some parts of Serbia, especially in large cities, catastrophic.
– Looking from the point of view of hospital capacity, looking from the point of view of the mortality rate which is very high – we are in a situation where it is very important to be aware of the general movement, organization and concentration on the jobs that the health system should do, but all the rest – Tiodorovic added.
When asked what to expect next, Tiodorović says next week will be tough.
