To ban contacts H1 Serbia

Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated that an increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus is expected next week, and that he called for an official ban on contacts.

“You can expect a higher number of patients this and part of next week, 2,000 cases a day would not be a surprise,” Kon told TV Pink.

He claimed that this was a “classical exponential increase” that should have been avoided at all costs.

“We have a significant deterioration of the situation, especially in Belgrade, where yesterday there were 980 cases, which shows an absolute increase day by day,” Kon said.

Con estimated that restrictive measures related to meeting places and a limited number of those who can be in those places should have been implemented this weekend.

“Due to non-compliance with the measures, the percentage of increase in the severe clinical picture is in double digits. In Belgrade hospitals, we have 15 percent of patients with a more severe clinical picture, of which five percent are in respirators, “he said.
