The secret of this drama has not been solved by the police either, because the investigation has not yet been completed, and “Novosti” unofficially discovers that Tito probably lost his life saving Veljko.
As a result of the autopsy, it is stated that Tito did not have a heart attack, but that the cause of death was drowning, which sheds a whole new light on the joint misfortune of the two families. There were no witnesses to the tragedy, and the only certainty is that members of the Belgrade Gendarmerie diving unit first removed Tito’s lifeless body, and only a few hours later, under the sunken ship, the body of Veljko Vujaskovic, when many say that he could not swim.
Modest, calm, devastated by the departure of the head of the family, the Novak family did not react to media reports about the accident, nor did they inform the public about the autopsy results.
– Dad was a great swimmer, he loved the water, he spent his whole life fishing in it, because he was a passionate fisherman and a fisherman by profession. On that terrible day, we now know officially, he did not have a heart attack and, as is written in the finding, he drowned – says David Novak (29), the eldest son of the late Tito, showing us the autopsy report.
Neither he, nor his one-year-old brother, Darío, nor Tito’s wife, Lavinjika (50), wanted to present the reversal of the situation to the public and simply tell what happened at Lake Neuzina.
“We have not yet received an official investigation document,” added Darío. – But, now that our Tito no longer exists, we don’t care. Our family has lost its true hero, a good and honest man, a great father and husband, a host. That is the greatest and most imperishable truth for us.
The Novaks believe that their Tito really did try to help the unfortunate Veljko.
