Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović confirmed that the situation with the coronavirus epidemic is deteriorating in southern Serbia, mainly in Niš, where there are almost 50 percent more new cases, and warned citizens that the situation is serious and that they respect all measurements.
How Southern News reports, He reiterated that there will be no curfew and a state of emergency in the new wave, but that for this reason it is necessary to respect the current measures and call on state authorities to control their implementation. As announced two days ago, the precarious situation in Nis is slowly turning unfavorable.
This morning, there were 100 patients at the Nis Clinical Center, half of them from Nis, while the rest were from other cities, Tiodorović says, and the virus was also confirmed in a child who he says is in good condition.
“More and more patients come to the examination for suspected covid in Vranje, as well as because the percentage of patients is also growing in Pirot. the vast majority of the population still wear masks to implement all the measures and we have to think about what other measures we will eventually implement, “said Tiodorović.
However, the new measures they are considering are not a curfew and the introduction of a state of emergency, says Tiodorović, but in some cities, for example, the working hours of some facilities could be shortened even more.
That is why he believes that changes in the law are important, because in addition to inspection services, the communal militia will also be able to control the implementation of measures and punish offenders.
The more citizens are evaluated in the next period, there will be more positives, he explained, but it is important that there are not among them those who have to undergo treatment.
That is, being dominated by the youngest, although it is already beginning to equalize in the percentages shown – from 20 to 40 years it was 40 percent, now it is 40 percent of the active population and it is moving towards the elderly .
“However, our citizens are also in the most difficult situation with respirators, so we must pay attention to how the process will play out on them, and they must be extremely careful,” said Tiodorović.
He says that the situation in the schools is still good, that there was no transmission in the classes and that the closure was not planned, except in some parts of Belgrade where it was noted that not all the procedures are carried out and where students and teachers could go to online classes. .
