Due to the bad epidemiological situation and the growth in the number of new patients in our country, as “Blic” learns, a session of the Crisis Staff will be held on Thursday to fight the coronavirus.

As we learned off the record, the first and foremost topic could be cafes and clubs. A stricter measure, when it comes to catering facilities, would be complete closure, which is also opposed by the leaders of the city of Belgrade, while a softer and safer variant is to shorten their working hours to 20 or 21 hours.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also spoke about this on Saturday.

– With the decision on the possible shortening of the working hours of the catering facilities, or their closure, we will wait two or three days – said Vučić.

Dr. Branislav Tiodorović recently emphasized how important it is for the epidemic to limit and close catering services, which are considered one of the main places where the virus spreads rapidly.

– Regardless of what may affect the restoration and tourism, we should limit the work of the catering facilities from 23.00 to 21.00 or 20.00, and any local community can do it – said a few days ago for “Blic” Dr. Branislav Tiodorović, Staff member of Crisis for the fight against kovid-19.

Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic also announced that crisis staff should hold a session earlier in the week.

– The local crisis headquarters can make individual decisions, but Belgrade, given its size, makes those decisions together with the crisis staff of the Republic. A new crisis staff session is scheduled for the beginning of the week and we will take certain actions according to the situation. One of the suggestions is to reduce the volume of music in catering facilities, because it encourages guests to speak loudly and thus increase the spread of the infection, Radojicic said.

The seriousness of the situation is best demonstrated by the statement by Crisis Staff Member Dr Predrag Kon that we have between 10,000 and 20,000 people infected in Belgrade every day.

– That means that in every party with more than 100 people with uncontrolled contacts, speak loudly or sing, the probability of getting infected is extremely high – explained Kon.

Recall, in the last crisis staff session held last week, the decision was made to limit all meetings, outdoors and indoors, to a maximum of five people, but at the same time the fall 11 school holidays. as of November 15, which was supposed to be valid only for primary school students in the territory of Serbia, “extended” to all secondary school students, as well as to primary school students of the Vojvodina territory.
