A Subotica soldier died as a result of the coronavirus.

A man from Subotica, a member of the Serbian army, died in Novi Sad on Monday as a result of the coronavirus, Subotica Mayor Bogdan Laban said, claiming that the soldier was infected on the job.

“That sad news warns us that the virus is still present and that we must have a continuity of responsibility, regardless of the fact that we are returning to a normal life,” said Laban.

According to him, the epidemiological situation in the city is stable and the number of new cases of the virus in relation to the number of tested is constantly decreasing, and since the beginning of the epidemic in Subotica, a total of 51 positive cases have been registered.

Laban also says that the measures are being eased, adding that the catering facilities began operating on Monday, as well as that the city’s shopping malls and traffic will begin operating on May 8, and the gardens of childhood are slowly preparing for the start of work.

Stable situation in the Rasina district

In the Rasina district, after Kruševac, where 254 citizens became ill with kovid 19, the largest number of infected people is found in Aleksandrovac – 39.
