On Friday at nine in the morning a new session of the Crisis Staff will be held, due to the current epidemiological situation, the media reports.

Crisis staff members can decide on possible new measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic also spoke about the introduction of new measures today, saying that if the situation does not calm down, they will not wait until December 1 to discuss the adoption of new measures, and recently announced that the next measure could be a kind of restraining order.

Do you follow measures against the coronavirus?

Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic said recently that three new measures could be discussed: further shortening of working hours for shops and restaurants, then the transition to work from home in most companies, with mandatory confirmation for gardens of childhood that children’s parents should be in their workplace.

Tiodorovic also said that a limit on the number of passengers in the city’s public transport could be discussed.

In one of the previous Crisis Team sessions, epidemiologist Predrag Kon recommended that schools completely switch to online teaching.

The highest number of infected people since the beginning of the epidemic was registered in Serbia today: 5,613, and in the last 48 hours, more than 10,000 cases have been registered.

There are currently 5,317 patients in hospitals, capacity in most cities is almost full and the most dramatic situation is in Belgrade.
