THREE CITIES IN SERBIA ARE A POSSIBLE CROWN OF A BOMB: Here’s why new outbreaks of the virus will explode there first

At the same time, epidemiologists repeat every day that there should be no relaxation, so that we do not suffer the unwanted consequences again. But large numbers of people are undisciplined, and the three cities represent potential new hotbeds of the corona virus.

Zajecar, Kragujevac and Novi Pazar deviate from the state “coronavirus trend” and the situation is not stable in these cities, a large number of cases of violations of epidemiological measures have been registered and Crisis personnel have identified them as potential critical points.

The causes of the unfavorable epidemiological situation must be sought mainly in the relaxation of citizenship and the failure to comply with the prescribed measures, but also in the increase in arrivals for summer holidays from some of the countries of the region, which have registered a large number cases in recent days.

What about these three cities?
Novi Pazar

The epidemiological situation in Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Tutin, when looking at the data on the number of patients with COVID-positive and hospitalized, is more favorable than before, but those figures can be easily misleading, believes the director of the Institute of Public Health, Sefadil Spahic.

In the previous days, up to 50 people attended the Kovid clinic, a little more than before, with symptoms similar to those caused by the coronavirus, and the number of positives and those who need hospital treatment is on average one a day.

Full cafes, don’t give up weddings and celebrations

– There was a period when we did not have a single positive for a few days, so all this data can be encouraging and indicate that the epidemiological situation is stabilizing, but not completely. The numbers can easily be deceiving, especially if we see what is happening around us, the citizens have relaxed again, the cafes are full, weddings and celebrations are being organized, and almost no one is wearing a mask or disinfecting – says Spahić.

Dangerous return from vacation

Spahic adds that the beginning of the work of schools and two universities, as well as the return of people from summer vacations, could lead to a worsening of the epidemiological situation, which could make Novi Pazar a seedbed again.

– We have more than 20,000 students and students who, in addition to adhering to all epidemiological measures in these educational institutions, pose a risk. In addition, estimates show that several thousand of our fellow citizens were or are still on vacation in Montenegro or Albania, countries where the epidemiological situation is much worse than in our country – says Spahić.

What is distinctive about Novi Pazar is that at one point, almost half of those who were tested had antibodies, and some unofficial data shows that during the second peak of the first wave, thousands of citizens of Novi Pazar were infected with it. corona virus.

Many without symptoms

– A lot of our fellow citizens who had antibodies told us that they had no symptoms or that they were very mild, if they were honest. We appeal to all those who have any symptoms to get in touch with the doctors as soon as possible, not to get into the situation as before, that people were treated at home, and they come with extremely difficult clinical pictures when they need support oxygen and when the chances of healing less – says Spahić.

Novi Pazar, along with Belgrade, Kragujevac and Zajecar, was recognized in the last crisis staff session as one of the potential hotbeds of the coronavirus in the next period, and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Djerlek, says that he There are concerns about increasing the number of patients in kovid clinics.

– It is even more worrying that a large number of Pazar citizens are on vacation in Montenegro and therefore an increase in the number of patients is expected upon their return. The hospital is trained and is preparing for the worst possible scenario that could happen in the fall and winter. We are very careful and follow the events on a daily basis as far as Kovid is concerned, Djerlek said.

Zajecar

Zajecar Mayor Boško Ničić claimed that citizens have relaxed and are behaving as if the virus no longer exists, and that the main reason the city in eastern Serbia has seen an increase in the number of people suffering from coronavirus.

Possible expansion

– The situation in Zajecar with regard to the coronavirus is not alarming, but if the measures for the fight against this virus, which was noticed in that city, are not respected, there may be an expansion – said Nicic.

Nicic sees the cause of the “strengthening of the crown” in this city in the fact that many citizens have relaxed and have behaved as if there were no viruses, lulled by the fact that there are days when no new cases are registered positive coronavirus in Zajecar.

– There are a large number of those who relaxed precisely because there were a few days without new infections and they thought there were no viruses. There is a virus and if we do not take care of the implementation of the measures, the situation may worsen – emphasized Nicic.

An emergency situation is still in force in Zajecar, Nicic recalled, adding that a control is being carried out and care is being taken not to spread the infection.

He adds that, although the majority of citizens respect the measures, they are quite violated in commercial establishments and restaurants.

Kragujevac

The epidemiological situation in Kragujevac is unstable and the number of positives for coronavirus is growing in relation to the number of those analyzed, says the epidemiologist of the Institute of Public Health of that city, Dr. Predrag Delic, and affirms that there are not many positives among which They came from Montenegro.

Delic told “TV Pink” that the number of positives compared to those tested was around 10 percent, which contributes to the situation being considered uncertain.

Last week, we registered a decrease in positives, but after that, the trend continued to be a positive 10 percent of the number of evaluated, and that is why it is important to monitor and comply with all measures, he said.

Around 200 people are tested daily in Kragujevac, including those who want to travel.

Relaxation, hosting celebrations where there is a greater possibility of contagion, contributed to the uncertain situation, says Delic.

He points out that it is difficult for the communal police and the inspectorate to visit all these places and avoid meetings.
