H1 reporter Jelena Zorić was threatened in front of the Belgrade Special Court, because she was reporting on the Jovanjic case.
One of Predrag Koluvija’s lawyers, Svetislav Bojić, approached her on December 28 while on a reporter assignment together with the cameraman and said, “Please be precise when reporting because my client Predrag Koluvija is a male honest and a great believer, he tells me when I am I went to visit him: “Zoricka is destroying me and destroying me with his reports, but I pray to God for his health, just as I pray for the health of the prosecutor Sasa Drecun and the one who arrested him , Slobodan Milenkovic “.
Bojic told Jelena Zoric, among other things, that “whoever sinned against Pedja” did not do well.
A day later, on December 29, in the same place after Predrag Koluvija’s hearing, lawyer Bojić again approached Jelena Zorić and said: “Today Pea’s arrest was almost lifted, and Peđa greeted you very much. “.
Zoric first denounced the threats to the Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, which immediately initiated the procedure.
After consulting with Veran Matić and the Committee for the Safety of Journalists, the police authorities, Zorić reported the whole case to the Directorate of Criminal Police, which forwarded the report to the competent Prosecutor’s Office.
As Zorić pointed out in the report, it is of particular concern that, according to the defense attorney for the first defendant in the “Jovanjica” case, Svetislav Bojić, he was on the “Koluvija prayer list”.
Television H1 will approach the competent institutions of the Serbian and Belgrade Bar Associations with a request to consider whether the transmission, in our opinion, of obviously threatening messages to journalists, through lawyers, is in accordance with the ethics of the lawyers. If the relevant state bodies, as well as the ethical bodies of the bar associations, assess this as unacceptable behavior, H1 will require both houses to permanently revoke the license of lawyer Svetislav Bojić. In the meantime, we hope that both bar associations, until the final decision, will temporarily suspend the lawyer’s license for lawyer Bojić.
