Strahinja Stojanović (30) was blown up on Sunday with a kilogram and a half of pentrite P 500 military explosive, which was placed under his BMW X5 jeep.

A source from the investigation says the explosive was placed under Strahinja’s jeep, and is activated remotely, most likely by mobile phone.

– During the investigation, the remains of pentrite were found and referred to an expert opinion. Only someone extremely skilled could prepare the explosive, but it is placed under the vehicle easily and quickly. It takes about twenty seconds to do that. The killer must have followed Strahinja to make sure he was in the jeep. He activated the bomb from close range and then fled, the source explained.

Speaking about the penitect that killed Stojanović, the source says that it is one of the strongest explosives, judging by the amount of energy it releases during detonation.

– Just seven kilograms of this explosive are enough to demolish the entire building. It is used primarily for military purposes and is obtained by criminals by stealing it from military factories. Pentrite, by the way, is easily shaped, like dough or play dough, so it’s easy to hide it in a shoe or under clothing when smuggled across the border. The metal detector cannot register it because there are no metal shavings. On the world market, a kilogram of penthrite in glass can be bought for about six euros per kilogram, and when it is transformed into a plastic explosive, it costs about 30 euros, said the interlocutor.

Remember Stojanovic was killed Sunday in a horrific blast from a bomb planted under his BMW X5 jeep. in the Ulica omladinskih brigade in New Belgrade. His girlfriend from Colombia, Sonja Suárez Gómez (45), was also in that jeep, and was only slightly injured.

Stojanović has been the target of assassins before, and in 2019 he miraculously survived a bomb blast planted under his jeep in the Galenika settlement.
