This is where it will snow in Serbia, and where it will be sunny and hot!

Winter started in Serbia today, at least according to the calendar, but the weather conditions tell us a different story, as it will be for the New Year, because the forecasts indicate that we will not receive it due to freezing and coagulation.

The meteorologist of the company “Weather2Umbrella”, Djordje Đurić, says that a winter scenario is not expected for the New Year.

He states that in the coming days we will have noticeably warmer weather, a bit of cooling for the weekend, and then warming again.

– The maximum temperature on Wednesday will be up to 15 degrees, and on Thursday in Podrinje and Kolubara district up to 16, 17 degrees. It will be cold on Friday and more than 10 degrees cooler on the weekend. Friday and the weekend will bring us cooling, but enough for the temperatures to return to the average values ​​of the end of December and for the rain to turn into sleet and wet snow, but without significant formation of snow cover. The biggest possibility for that is south of the Loznica-Valjevo-Kragujevac-Negotino area and in Fruška Gora and Vršački breg and Avala, says Đurić, adding that more snow will fall on the mountains:

– Mostly 10 to 20 centimeters, locally and a little more.

According to him, this cooling will be short-lived, because it will be noticeably warmer early next week.

– Tuesday will be moderately cloudy in Serbia and completely cloudy in the north, but warmer than in previous days. Significantly sunnier periods are expected in the south and west. During the afternoon and evening, light rains are expected in the north and east of Serbia. A weak to moderate southeast wind will blow, intensifying in the Košava area. The minimum temperature will be zero to 4 degrees, and the daily maximum from 7 to 13. In Timočka and Negotinska Krajina, it will be gloomy, misty and colder, with a maximum temperature of up to 4 degrees.

– In Belgrade on Tuesday, it will be moderate to mostly cloudy. A mild to moderate southeast wind will blow. The minimum temperature will be 3 and the daily maximum temperature will be 10 degrees, Đurić says.

Wednesdays and Thursdays will be moderately cloudy and very hot for this time of year.

– The maximum temperature on Wednesday will be from 10 to 15 degrees, and on Thursday from 11 to 17. On Thursday afternoon and night in northern Serbia, and on Friday and in other areas, increased cloudiness and cooling with rain. The maximum temperature on Friday will be 7 degrees in the northwest to 15 degrees in the southeast of Serbia. The southwest wind will turn to the northwest.

– On Friday at the end of the day and during the night the rain will turn into snow in the mountainous areas, and on Saturday sleet and snow are expected in the low areas, with the cessation of rainfall at the end of the day from the north. Dry on Sunday, only in the east and southeast with light snow. Already early next week, it will be noticeably hotter in Serbia, so we will not have a winter scenario for the New Year. However, early next year, there is the possibility of a more serious cooling, Đurić explained to our portal.
