That is, the state will pay workers three times 50 percent of the minimum wage.

Speaking about the new package of measures to support the Serbian economy and citizens, which will amount to 2.5 billion euros, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić explained last night that a decision was made on four groups of measures, and that the first direct Support to the private sector is from March 1.

“We have made the decision to give 50 percent of the minimum wage three times, to start paying it from April 1. It is for entrepreneurs, micro and small businesses, for companies and employees, ”said Vucic.

The amount of the minimum wage in Serbia is now 32,156 dinars.

“We will make that decision in the next period. Up to 1,550,000 people would receive the state minimum,” Vucic said.

Let us remind you, the state supported the economy, as part of the first financial aid package, last year, with a total of three monthly minimums and twice 60 percent of the minimum wage amount.

The first was entered into the company’s accounts in early May, the second in June and the third in July. Large companies received 15,000 dinars three times for each worker and everyone else received 30,000, the full minimum wage. Within the second package of measures, workers received 60 percent of the minimum wage in August and September, that is, a total of 36,000 dinars.

Speaking about sectoral support, Vučić pointed out last night that carriers in road traffic will receive 600 euros per bus in the next six months.

As he stated, this is the sectorial support to the sector of passenger transport by road and bus stations, which are the most threatened and the objective is to preserve them.

“It is a matter of great help from the State. Tourism workers will also receive this minimum and a half. We will see before the summer if something needs sectorial help here as well,” he added.

Speaking of the measure to ensure liquidity for companies, Vučić said that an additional € 500 million will be provided for the existing guarantee scheme for business loans.

“But we will also give a new guarantee scheme with another 500 million, where we will be more lenient, which means that the state will assume a greater risk,” he said.

He added that so far, most of the funds from the guarantee scheme have been received by successful companies and that commercial banks have been strict.

It should be recalled that Vučić recently stated that loan guarantee schemes over the last year turned out to be excellent with the amount of € 1.5 billion entering the private sector.
