You should know this because mass immunization has started in Serbia, and measures to combat the coronavirus epidemic will likely be in place until spring and for part of spring.

Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović said today that a new strain of coronavirus has not yet been diagnosed in our country, “which does not mean that it will not appear, taking into account that it is present in Slovenia and Hungary.”

HAVE YOU REQUESTED THE VACCINATION?

“According to the known characteristics of scientific circles, the new strain of coronavirus is known for a faster spread and perhaps greater contagion, but clinically, the symptoms are the same, there is no difference with the already known virus,” said Tiodorovic then she received a Chinese vaccine at the Nis Health Center.

As he said, it is very important that as many citizens as possible are vaccinated, in order to create a herd immunity, “so that it exceeds 60 or 70 percent, and thus stop this serious disease.”

Vaccines, he said, differ in production technology, but the end result is approximate.

He also said that “there will be no problems” if someone gets infected between receiving two doses of the vaccine.

“A young organism will create a defense of 92 or 95 percent, and those that are old and chronically ill will create a smaller defense. The big gain is avoiding going to the hospital and avoiding a difficult clinical picture, and the prevention of death it’s especially important, “Tiodorovic said.

According to him, measures to suppress the coronavirus epidemic are likely to be applied both in the spring and during part of the spring, and with immunization we will only get to the sporadic coronavirus disease.
