INJIJA – The laying of the foundation stone for the Japanese Tojo Tires factory in Indjija today was attended by legendary Serbian footballer and soccer icon in Japan, Dragan Stojković Piksi, who noted that much of it was shown to him.
“I feel a great privilege to be here at the beginning of an important project for Japan and Serbia,” said Pixie.
“There is no greater satisfaction when you know that between 500 and 600 people will find work here and that it will make their families happy,” said the former captain of the Red Star and the National Team.
Stojković spent much of his career in Nagoya, Japan, first as a player and then as a coach.
“Japan has a special place in my heart, I spent wonderful years in that country, I got to know the mentality, the culture, I am very grateful to them for ‘suffering’ me for 13 years,” Stojković said with a smile.
He congratulated all those who realized, as he himself said, the great project.
“Especially for President Vučić and all those who worked on the realization of the project that will mean a lot to our country,” said Pixie and ended with a message in Japanese: “Long live Japan, long live Serbia.”
