Police are searching for Milivoje L. (50) from Gradiška on suspicion that he planted a car bomb in New Belgrade last week, after which Strahinja Stojanović was killed.
Milivoje L. has long been known to the police for his violent behavior, and he also owns several catering establishments in the Gradiška area. He has the citizenship of Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He was arrested last year because he was walking down the street and shooting with a gun, and then he posted the video on social media. According to the stories of the inhabitants of Gradiška, Lovrenović celebrated the birth of his grandson on that day.
More than 20 years ago, he was arrested for planting explosives at a house in the Banja Luka area, as well as for beating a businessman.
Stojanovic died last week in the explosion of a car in the Youth Brigades in Nuevo Belgrade, when his partner, the Colombian citizen Sonja Suárez Gómez, was in the vehicle with him.
Both legs were amputated in the blast and he succumbed to his injuries at the Emergency Center shortly after.
Today, the police broke into the apartment since, as is suspected, the suspect began to commit the crime.
On the morning of September 13 this year, ML went from an apartment in Vracar on an electric bike to an underground garage in New Belgrade, where he placed an improvised explosive device in Strahinja Stojanovic’s car.
He is suspected of remotely activating the explosive device, which he placed in his lower body under the driver’s seat, while riding the bicycle the same day around 12 noon, and Strahinja died shortly after from his injuries.
The police, by order of the Superior Public Ministry, filed a criminal complaint against Milivoj on suspicion that he committed the crime of aggravated homicide.
In cooperation with other state bodies, an international arrest warrant is issued, as the suspect is not just a citizen of Serbia.
