This is how Belgrade and Nis will celebrate the New Year, this is the last CRITICAL MOMENT

How will Belgrade and Nis celebrate the New Year? How many communal police will be on the ground and will they check if the current measures are respected?

The guests of the Hot Day were Goran Vesić, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, and Andrijana Anastasov, Niš City Council.

“This year, like everyone else in Europe, we will be without any organized receptions,” Vesić began.

“I am proud, because we fight for it, because our catering services and shops will work during the New Year, and they will not work in London, Paris, Vienna” …

“We have found a measure. There are far fewer people infected in Belgrade than in previous weeks.”

“There will be nothing but lighting. We have canceled all public events.”

“This is an opportunity to celebrate the New Year in the family circle, so that next year we can all celebrate it properly.”

Andrijana Anastasov added:

“There are no traditional events in Nis either. As in Belgrade, the city is decorated. True, where the situation allows, all according to the recommendations of the Crisis Staff, there will be events during the day. We will have a video beam where they will be broadcast concerts and plays “.

Vesić emphasizes the losses in tourism:

“Last year, we earned more than a billion euros from tourism. More than 50 percent of foreign tourists come to Belgrade and their absence is most felt in Belgrade, as well as in Novi Sad.”

Andrijana Anastasov spoke on the same topic:

“In recent years, Nis has become more and more visited. Last year we had almost 200,000 tourists. For me, Nis is the most beautiful city in the world and we plan a lot, like building a water park. The state helped everyone in tourism as much as it could, as well as the city of Nis. but the pandemic affected all local governments. Nis, in tourism, is right behind Belgrade and Novi Sad. We did not allocate a dinar from the budget for New Years Eve “.

Vesić continued:

“It would be a big risk if we don’t cancel Open Heart Street. My request to the catering services is to keep the guests, respect the epidemiological measures and close at 18. We will be in the field, we will check it, but the caterers respect it mostly. There are also the arrogant ones who don’t understand that they can get infected and die. “

On private parties, Vesić said:

“It will be, but we can’t stop life. We shouldn’t, but if the parents are already calling, let there be as few of them as possible. We can only intervene if there are reports of public order violations.”

“This is the last critical moment, we are almost out of the epidemic,” says Vesić.

The deputy mayor added:

“We are going to surprise some medical workers on January 1, whom we will have lunch.”
