Walking along the river, it is no longer uncommon to see garbage scenes, discarded animals, old furniture, and other things that certainly don’t belong there.
The fact that several rivers and lakes in Serbia are threatened by an ecological catastrophe, it seems that nobody cares anymore, and they still bury the water with garbage.
One such scene took place in Novi Sad, where a girl accompanied by a young man threw dozens of plastic bottles into the Danube. The scene took place on the part of the quay closest to the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal, where there are generally fewer passersby, but still enough to register this embarrassment.
While the girl was throwing the bottles away, the young man, in the manner of a trusted guard, held a bag of bottles and occasionally looked around and “kept watch.” After throwing three plastic bottle bags into the river, they slowly got up and left as if nothing had happened.
