A well-known Belgrade caterer, co-owner of the “Košuta” and “Hram” restaurants, was shot in the head not far from his family’s house around eight in the morning. The police are still looking for the murderer and the accomplice.
The organizers of the liquidation set up an almost cinematic trap. First, they hit Ristic’s car with a car on Proleterskih Brigade street to stop him and force him out. When he did, they mercilessly shot him in the head. After the crime, they got into the car and fled.
At the scene of the murder, three bullet casings were found, and one of the neighbors came across them immediately after the liquidation, and seeing a bloody body on the asphalt, he immediately called the police.

In November 2008, RISTIĆ’s son, Milutin, alias Brđa, participated in a scheduled fight between two groups of young people in Kaludjerica. The two groups clashed on the grass and fired in all directions from the shooting and lit torches. In this “war” pistols were used, but also submachine guns. The epilogue of the conflict was two dead and two wounded. Vladimir Doskovic (33) and Dalibor Milenkovic (21) died.
Among the ten arrested was Ristic, then 20, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He got out of jail in 2017.
– I saw a body on the road and at first I thought someone stepped on a pedestrian, which I told the police when I called them the first time. After that I saw a driverless car and two neighbors told me it was murder. I found him lying face down and realized it was Dragan, Ristic’s neighbor told us.
Dragan has five children and they, family and friends, were immediately reunited at the place where he was killed. Incredulous, they shook their heads, not believing what had happened. The oldest son told us that he did not know who could do something like that and that his father had no problems with anyone. The neighbors we spoke to about Dragan only had words of praise.
The murdered Ristic was born in Berane, but spent most of his life in Belgrade. He had a turbulent youth, in the nineties of the last century he hung out with people on the fringes of the law, but for the last twenty years he has lived in seclusion. According to operational information from the Interior Ministry, he was arrested and detained for illegal possession of weapons, shootings and fights. He was convicted, but conditionally, and was never in prison.
By the way, as you could hear at the scene of Ristic’s murder yesterday, he is in a godfather relationship with Zeljko Rutovic, who was sentenced in 2019 to four years and four months in prison for injuring Predrag Rankovic Peconi, owner of Inway Company. and Happy Television. Rutović is also one of the actors in the famous crime documentary in Belgrade in the 1990s: “See you in the obituary”.

Yesterday, the police spoke with Ristic’s friends and business associates to discover the motives and find the criminals. It is being investigated if his liquidation has something to do with the “Hram” nightclub-pizzeria, but also with other jobs he carried out.

STARTING THE CAR
A few hours after the crime, a car was set on fire in a forest in the Belgrade neighborhood of Mirijevo, which the police assume was used in the liquidation of Dragan Ristic. It’s a gray “passat caravan”. According to unofficial information, the remains of a pistol with a silencer were also found in the burned vehicle. It is speculated that the victim was murdered. An expert will determine if this is the case.
