The group led by the murdered Alan Kožar from Bar was paid half a million euros for the liquidation of the leader of the Kavač clan, Radoje Zvicer.
Zvicer’s liquidation was supposed to be revenge for the murders of the Skaljar clan leaders Igor Dedović from Kotor and Stevan Stamatović from Podgorica, who were liquidated on January 19 at a restaurant in central Athens while they were with their families. .
Investigators have operational information that the “scammers” who cooperated with the Kozar bar crime group in a meeting outside the settlement, set the price and delivered the money for the shooting, Pobjeda de Podgorica has learned from sources close to the investigation.
The delivery of the money and the liquidation order were agreed at that time, confirmed chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić, who briefly told the prosecutors’ conference in late August that the liquidation of a high-ranking member of the criminal group was prevented. He did not provide further details on this case.
Sources close to the investigation know that after the crimes in Athens, the “scammers” decided to liquidate the most powerful man of the rival clan, who has not lived in Montenegro for years, and hired Kozarov’s group for this task.
In just four months, the potential executioners located Zwitzer, tracked his movements, and planned the crime.
Two attackers intercepted Zvicer while he was running near his building in Kiev and shot him. Soon a video appeared showing Zvicer’s wife, Tamara, testing a weapon and shooting at the attackers. With her reaction, she practically chased away the executioners and saved her husband’s life.
Zvicer spent about 10 days in hospital after being injured, and when he came out, he applied to obtain Ukrainian citizenship, Montenegrin media reported.
